Dashcam for Rideshare Drivers
4K front and rear recording, GPS evidence on every trip, and full Australian support. Protect yourself from passenger disputes, insurance claims, and ATO audits — for $499.
You drive for a living. Make sure you can prove what happened.
Passenger disputes. A passenger files a complaint about your driving. Without footage, it's their word against yours — and Uber will usually take their side. With Norvik, you submit the clip and resolve it in 24 hours.
Accidents and insurance. Someone rear-ends you at a light and claims you reversed into them. GPS data and 4K footage prove your speed, location, and the actual sequence of events. Insurance claims process in days, not months.
ATO and tax records. Every trip logged with timestamp, location, and GPS — automatic evidence for kilometre claims, business expense deductions, and audit defence.
Aggressive passengers. When a passenger gets aggressive, becomes a safety risk, or refuses to leave the vehicle, footage protects you legally and makes police reports straightforward.
Built for the way you actually drive
4K front + 1080p rear. Read number plates clearly day or night. The rear camera catches the cars behind you — critical for rear-end collision claims.
GPS module included. Every recording timestamped with location and speed. Disputed routes? The map proves where you went and when.
Audio recording. Records your driving environment, with passenger notification stickers included for state-by-state compliance. Audio recording rules differ by state — see the FAQ below.
Loop recording. Records every drive automatically without you touching anything. G-sensor locks footage if something happens.

A business expense, not a luxury
If you drive for Uber, DiDi, Ola, Bolt, or any rideshare platform, your dashcam is generally tax deductible as a business expense.
Most rideshare drivers claim the V22 in full as a work-related expense, or depreciate it over its effective life under standard ATO rules. For drivers earning over $75k from rideshare, GST credits may also apply.
Always confirm with your accountant or check the ATO website. We can't give tax advice — but we can give you the receipt and product information you'll need.

Questions from rideshare drivers
Is recording audio in my car legal?
It depends on your state. In Victoria and Queensland, one-party consent applies — meaning as the driver, you can record without notifying passengers. In NSW, WA, SA, Tasmania, NT, and ACT, all-party consent applies — meaning passengers must be notified. The best practice everywhere is to display a visible notification sticker in your vehicle. We include rideshare-friendly stickers with every order. Always check your state's current requirements as laws can change.
Can I claim the V22 on tax?
For most rideshare drivers, yes — as a work-related expense. The exact treatment depends on your individual circumstances and whether you're registered for GST. Always confirm with your accountant or check the ATO website for current rules.
Will it work in a leased rideshare vehicle?
Yes. The V22 mounts to the windshield via electrostatic adhesive (no permanent installation required) and powers from your 12V port. For continuous parking mode you'd need to hardwire it, which most lease agreements don't allow — but standard recording while driving works in any vehicle.
How long does installation take?
Most drivers install the front camera and GPS in under 10 minutes. The rear camera takes another 15-20 minutes if you route the cable along the headliner. Hardwire installation for parking mode requires a workshop or auto electrician — most drivers skip this and just use the cigarette lighter plug.
Will it work with my dashcam requirements as a rideshare driver?
The V22 meets the recording quality requirements for major rideshare platforms in Australia. Some platforms (especially in Queensland) have specific approved-camera regulations for taxis, which is different from rideshare requirements. Check with your platform if you're unsure.
